Andrea Bezaire

Andrea Bezaire graduated from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law in 2005 and prior to that, graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Arts, honours, in Political Science in 2002. She was the valedictorian of her graduating class and was the recipient of the Political Science award for having the highest overall average.

 

Andrea started her legal career at the Toronto office of a multinational law firm working in the corporate finance and commercial real estate departments. From there, Andrea worked at a national firm in London, Ontario specializing in management side labour and employment law.

 

Currently, Andrea is practising in the areas of corporate law, residential real estate, wills and estates, municipal law and employment law. Andrea and her husband Derek live in Strathroy with their four children. She is an active member of the community and has served on a variety of boards including, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of London and Area, King’s University College Board of Directors and the Strathroy and District Chamber of Commerce.

Bradley Hemeryck

Bradley Hemeryck joined Quinlan & Somerville in 2012 where he began focusing on Real Estate as well as Wills and Estates under the guidance of Charlene Quinlan, until her retirement. Born in the small town of Delhi, Ontario, Brad has found practising in Strathroy an excellent fit and often speaks at local Will and Estate seminars and Real Estate workshops.

 

Brad has an Honours BA in History and a BA in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. Brad graduated from the University of Western Faculty of Law in 2010 and Articled with a medium sized firm in London.

 

When Brad is not busy with the practise of law he enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah and their two children.

Katherine Tomaszewski

Kathy Tomaszewski (de Jong) grew up on a farm near Centralia, Ontario and attended high school in Exeter. While studying law at the University of Western Ontario, Kathy worked for two summers in tax and litigation for Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt in Toronto. After graduating with the gold medal for the highest average in her graduating class at Western, Kathy clerked (articled) for the Chief Justice of Canada, the late Honourable Bora Laskin, at the Supreme Court of Canada in Ottawa. She completed a graduate degree at Harvard Law School, and began her legal career as a full-time law professor at the University of Western Ontario. Kathy was awarded tenure at an early point in her career, and for 10 years enjoyed teaching at Western and publishing in the fields of constitutional, corporate, commercial, securities and secured transactions. Kathy has consulted for the Ontario Securities Commission, the Ontario Human Rights Commission, and has been a member of the board of various charitable organizations. Most recently, before joining B&H, Kathy practised corporate and commercial law (remotely from home) with a Toronto law firm.


In addition to her legal career, Kathy has been extensively involved with private education and the needs of individuals with learning and developmental challenges.


Kathy’s practice is focused on business law, and commercial transactions.



Sarah McAllan (Licensing Candidate)

Sarah graduated from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland with a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Management (2008), LLB (Honours) (2010) followed by a Diploma in Legal Practice, passed with distinction in 2011. Sarah went on to completed her 2-year traineeship with a well-established law firm in Aberdeen where she gained experienced in commercial law, estate law and real estate law.


Sarah practiced for six years in Scotland, and was promoted to Associate in 2017. Sarah moved to Canada in 2019 and settled in Strathroy with her husband David and their daughter.


Sarah is currently working towards re-qualifying as a lawyer here in Ontario.

Skylar Oldreive

Skylar Oldreive graduated from the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law in 2022. He completed a summer and articling term with a medium-sized firm in London, Ontario. Prior to that, Skylar graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Arts in Classics in 2018, and from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts, honours, in Greek and Roman Studies in 2016.


Skylar’s practice currently focuses on Real Estate as well as Wills and Estates, but he also has experience with corporate matters.


Skylar grew up in the rural village of Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia. Skylar’s varied experiences from his times working as a farm hand, sawyer, teaching assistant, and self-employed commercial fisherman give him a unique perspective and understanding which he is able to employ to help assist his clients achieve their goals.


When Skylar is not busy at work, he enjoys gardening, boxing, and spending time with his partner Michelle and their two cats. You might also find Skylar watching soccer, particularly his beloved Arsenal.




Robert Waters (Retired)

Robert G. Waters graduated from the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law in 1972 and prior to that, graduated from UWO with a Bachelor of Arts in 1969. Rob developed an expertise in many areas of the law, including agricultural matters, being the first chair Normal Farm Practises Board and since 2004 he has acted as the Drainage Referee for the Province of Ontario.

 

Rob and his wife Jayne, raised their four children in Strathroy and now are the proud grandparents to thirteen grandchildren. Rob has been an active member of the community and has served on a variety of boards, including the Strathroy Middlesex Hospital Foundation Board, the Strathroy Rotary Club and the Strathroy-Middlesex Multi-Service Centre Corporation to set up Delivery of Social Services in West-Middlesex County.
